Follow the Life and Times of the Father of our Country. You will visit Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington, to see the beautiful estate, farm, and yard. Also, see the new Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center featuring 25 theatres and galleries depicting George Washington and the History of the Era. You will also see the quaint seaport town of Old Town Alexandria. Take in the picturesque seaport town known for fascinating architecture and quaint shopping. You will make a stop at Christ’s Church. Christ’s Church was visited by many of our past U.S. Presidents and was the first Episcopal Church in Alexandria. See Fort Washington, The Pentagon, and Crystal City, VA as you tour on the motor coach.
Travel to Charlottesville, Virginia. We will continue up the mountainside to Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson, President, inventor, surveyor, musician and artist. We will also tour the famous Michie Tavern, with the option to purchase lunch on your own. Tour begins and ends at Gray Line Terminal at Union Station – no hotel pick-up or return. The Thomas Jefferson Visitor Center and Smith Education Center, the new gateway to Monticello, will offer visitors greatly enhanced services and amenities while engaging them in Thomas Jefferson’s life, times, and lasting legacies through a new introductory film, four innovative exhibitions, and a hands-on discovery room.

The Gettysburg Diorama, one of the largest Miniature Military Dioramas in the United States, gives a narrated history of the Battle, accompanied by sound and light effects.
